Sensing

MillSlicer is designed for any other level measurement instrument in ball mills. Using the latest technologies to obtain accurate signals in real time.

MillSlicer generates three extremely accurate mill fill level signals that can be used either to operate the mill (manually or in a control loop) or as a Process Diagnostic System understanding the flow of material inside.

In addition to the signs of the filling level at three points of the mill (inlet, middle and outlet) the MillSlicer is able to identify the point of impact of the balls, that is, at an angle of 90 to 180 ° the balls are falling , the ideal being at 135 ° where the grinding will be more efficient. If the mill has an adjustable speed, you can then set the speed according to the angle of fall, making grinding more efficient, reducing wear on the lining and balls.

Accurate measurements of the filling level of the mill using adaptive filling level technology that takes into account the mill rotation (RPMs).

Real-time knowledge of where the balls are hitting the mill hull for optimal adjustment of the mill speed by controlling and progressing the coating and grinding bodies.

5 + 1 4-20mA outputs for traditional automation. Ideal for automating a production control or manual control by the supervisor.

Ethernet interface for quick / easy calibrations, real-time graphics and remote control, support.

Historical data in PC / Excel files allowing the new generation of tools to estimate the wear of the mill lining and bearings through historical vibration analysis.

Immune from interference from adjacent mills and other nearby equipment.

It has the following advantages:
  • Maximum Efficiency:
    • Maximizes the efficiency of the grinding circuit and minimizes damage from ball degreasing and coating by keeping the mill longer.
  • Anticipation:
    • Accurate real-time knowledge of the material inside the mill at the entrance, exit and in the middle.
    • Instant detection of blockages that may occur.

  • Drop point adjustment:
  •
    • Knowing the drop point of the material + grinding bodies, it is possible to adjust the mill's RPM or adjust the load so that the drop point remains at the ideal angle.
  • Decrease in KWh / ton.
  • Increase in average production.
  •
  • Reduced wear on the lining and grinding bodies.
  •
  • Elimination of obstructions and spillage at the mill outlet.
  •
  • More efficient production control.
  •
  • Increase in quality resulting from the reduction of deviations in fineness.
  •
  • Mill diagnostic tool.
  •
  • Optimum speed control to increase grinding efficiency.
